BECKY re-use prevention syringes
BECKY is a safety syringe with reuse prevention features for curative purposes meeting the ISO 7886-4 standard for safety syringes. It is designed to provide maximum safety within the health care sector in resource limited countries as per the recommendations of the World Health Organization, while maintaining the ease of use for the health care workers.
Whereas a normal syringe consists of a plunger and a cylinder, BECKY has a plunger with 3 weak points, which breaks when pushed completely, and thereby prevents the syringe from being filled more than once. Prior to use, the syringe plunger is not mounted down to the “0” graduation mark, which means that when filling the syringe, ventilation or air-pumping is made possible and the plunger may freely move forth and back within the barrel until the injection is completed and the plunger breaks – which is necessary in most curative processes.
BECKY is manufactured by environmentally friendly materials, which can be either incinerated or re-cycled. The syringe does not contain any metal clips or rubber parts, hence it is suitable for incineration between 600 – 900 degrees centigrade, and extremely suitable for recycling in combination with the use of needle cutters.

WHO Prequalified AD syringe
The CADY syringe is used in a manner very similar to a normal syringe, providing a high level of user acceptability. The syringe is filled by inserting the needle into the vaccine vial and drawing to the maximum capacity, then any air bubbles are removed by flickering on the barrel and volume is adjusted to the 0,5 ml graduation line. Injection is performed and the syringe self-destructs as the syringe plunger breaks by an attempt to fill the syringe a second time.

CADY is the most environmental friendly AD syringe available! With the change to AD syringes, Health Care Waste Management is more important than ever. The disposal of millions and millions of syringes has become a determining factor, With a net weight of only 1,54 grams, the CADY syringe produces 40% less waste than the average AD syringe. This translates into tons and tons of waste saved. On top of this comes that CADY is very suitable for different types of waste handling. Consisting of only PP and PE, and with NO rubber, NO latex, NO metal clips in the barrel, CADY can be incinerated safely at between 600 and 900 degrees centigrade. For recycling, the syringe is unique! When used in connection with needle cutters, the plastic can be directly autoclaved, shredded and injection moulded, without having to perform any separation of metal parts or rubber pieces.
Manufacturing sites and certifications CADY is prequalified by WHO and produced at our state-of-the-art facilities meeting the ISO 13485 for medical device manufacturing.
